Unfortunately the property had remained empty, unheated and unloved for a long time. The resultant dampness had led to degradation of several areas. The old lath and plaster ceilings had to be removed to facilitate access for various works and treatments. At least this way we ensure the property is secure for many more years to come with no more ‘hidden nasties’.
